This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our In Patient Unit.
Key accountabilities will be to ensure that the unit runs smoothly and effectively, within budget and to the required capacity, whilst continuously promoting and maintaining high standards of specialist palliative care and the continuing improvement in the patient experience.
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the Unit remains fully compliant with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other regulatory/statutory bodies and be a Champion for patient safety, clinical effectiveness and the patient experience.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a visionary approach to be able to contribute to the wider hospice strategy and to proactively implement service and quality initiatives as funding and resources permit. Working collaboratively with other multi-disciplinary teams and agencies will also be key.
To apply, you should be a Level 1 registered nurse or registered health professional with a management or leadership qualification with 5 years post registration experience and 2 years working at senior management level in either a health or social/palliative care setting. Palliative Care qualification preferred but inspirational and disciplined leadership is the priority.
You will also need a thorough knowledge of Health Care Policies and Reforms and up to date knowledge of cancer, palliative care and end of life agenda.
