Spring Charity Golf Day A full day of golf on the New Course at the picturesque Essendon Country Club. £500 per team for a fantastic day of golf! Our Spring Golf day is being held in the picturesque, 400 acre estate at Essendon Country Club in Hertfordshire's traditional countryside. We are teeing off on the New Course, one of two unique 18 hole courses. A team of 4 is £500, and you can pay online, by clicking the link above. The New course is more than a little quirky, in that it has two greens on 15 of its holes. The par 72 stretches over 6,700 yards. The A and B greens create an exciting variety, making each hole demand varying lengths and positioning off the tee to reach some of the more difficultly placed greens. The 349 yard, par 4 1st is a picturesque opening hole, heavily guarded by a series of brand new, strategically placed bunkers framing the right side of the green. The downhill, 146 yard, par 3 8th is a delightful hole with two lakes surrounding the green, requiring a straight and accurate shot if you want to avoid the water. Accuracy is also at a premium off the tee on the scenic 384 yard par 4 17th, with its sloping fairway ushering the ball left towards a water hazard and a series of bunkers, which could easily catch any golfer out. Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be provided upon arrival for all Isabel Hospice golfers, setting you up for a full day. There is a huge £10,000 prize for anyone that achieves a hole in one! Kindly supported by Fairview New Homes. Upon returning from the course, you will be served a two course lunch, followed by an auction of prizes. We would love you to join us, so get your team of four together to take on the challenges this fantastic course has to offer.
