This team of fab four ran, made up of Edward, Georgie, Abbie and George ran the Dublin Marathon for Isabel Hospice on Sunday 29th November.
Before they geared up for the 26.2 miles, Edward said “We are all Hertfordshire based Healthcare professionals and through personal and professional experiences, we understand how crucial hospice care is to patients and families. We are all far from experienced marathon runners and decided it was a way to challenge ourselves while raising at least £250 for Isabel Hospice. We are all very determined and will make it to the end even if the team have to drag me across the finishing line and I look forward to a well-deserved Guinness!”
We are pleased to say that they all got to the finish line! Upon completing the marathon, George told the Hospice that "Everyone did amazing. Georgie Mann got sub 4hrs, Abbie Mann got a new personal best, Georgina impson Davy’s knee went half way round and in an amazing effort she pushed through the pain barrier and finished.
We are proud to say sponsors are still coming through for such an amazing cause."
A huge thank you to the team for supporting the Hospice in such an incredible challenge. They have reached their target, but if you can please sponsor their fantastic efforts on their JustGiving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/abbieedgeorgigrid
