We need your good-value goods, to turn into high-value nursing

At Isabel  Hospice we are incredibly lucky to be supported by so many fantastic staff and volunteers who at this time crisis are  going the extra mile for our patients and  their families. We have a ray of sunshine amongst all  the dark skies in that 12 of our 18 charity shops,  have managed to remain open, despite staff and  volunteer shortages, as they have had to self-isolate.

As we  have had  to postpone or cancel our fundraising  events for the next few months, the Hospice really needs your support in  the current crisis we are facing. We are  estimating a real challenge as income falls, so if you can shop with Isabel Hospice you will be  helping to ensure  the provision  of our care  for local people  living  with a life-limiting illness over the next few  months as our income inevitably falls.

Our 12 shops are stocked full of great things to buy, whether you are preparing  to hunker down and want cosy jumpers,  PJs or comfy clothes, or  deciding to do some exercise  challenges and want  some  running  gear,  or leisure wear.  Also, just to reassure you all our clothes are  freshly steamed and furniture  cleaned before anything goes on  sale.  We have some great toys and games to keep the  kids entertained, and if your kids are  bored of  what  they have,  why not donate them to one  of  our shops and pick up something  different for them.

And, our eBay shop  has some really wonderful things up for auction  to sort your home shopping fix! We are currently asking  for donations of some high value items, for us to auction,  to pay for high quality nursing  care. If you have any cameras, jewellery/watches,  good quality clothes, shoes & bags, games consoles/games,  record players/hi fi systems or sealed toiletries we need them!

If you want  to  drop your donated items  off without entering  a shop,  you can  bring them to our Welcome Centre at 61 Bridge Road East, Welwyn  Garden City,  AL7 1JR as we  have  a  large parking area, and  you can leave your donations at the door, during  our opening times,  without coming  in. We are  open at present, Monday to Friday 9am  to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am  to 3pm.

We will be producing  some great virtual challenges over the next few days, so keep an eye on our social media for lots of challenges to support the Hospice. Thank you.”
