Isabel Hospice is excited to announce the opening of a new clearance shop in the heart of Hoddesdon this November. The new store will offer a wide selection of preloved items, including clothing, accessories, and homeware, all at fantastic value, from £1 up to £3. The grand opening to the public is set for Saturday 16th November at 11am.
The new shop, located in the previous Bowmans unit, will serve as a dedicated space for bargain hunters and those looking to shop sustainably while supporting a worthy cause. Profits from every purchase contribute towards changing the lives of people in the local community, who need specialist care and support living with a terminal or life-limiting illness.
The new addition will operate alongside the already well-established Isabel Hospice shop at the other end of the High Street. Which thanks to the Hoddesdon community, raised profits that could fund 1,030 nursing hours last year, and will only increase with the additional shop. This will be Isabel Hospice’s third clearance outlet, with two already located in Hatfield and Waltham Cross.
Charlotte Greenwood, Head of Retail & Marketing at Isabel Hospice, expressed her enthusiasm for the new venture: “We are thrilled to bring our clearance shop concept to Hoddesdon. This store will provide our loyal customers with even more opportunities to shop with a conscience, finding unique preloved items all while knowing that their purchases directly benefit our patients and their families.”
Charlotte added, “The success of our shops relies heavily on the support of dedicated volunteers. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our retail team, whether you can spare a few hours a week or more, give the gift of time, contribute to your community and make a difference!”
