Isabel Hospice was pleased to welcome the team from Bishop’s Stortford law firm Tees when they spent a days volunteering at the end-of-life care charity.
In their bright yellow t-shirts, the Tees team Nikki Havers (Partner in Private Client), Helen Craughwell (Senior Associate in Private Client), Frances Gill (Associate in Private Client) and Cathy Izzard (Consultant in Private Client) brought the sunshine to Isabel’s eBay hub, helping to sort and sell donated DVDs and books through one of the Hospice’s many online platforms, as well as helping with the annual stock take.
Isabel’s e-commerce manager Martin Baudrey said: “Their energy and positivity in helping our team was wonderful. In just a few hours, they made almost £200 from selling our donated books and DVDs online, all vital income to ensure our specialist palliative care is available free of charge to every person who needs it.
“Volunteers make all the difference to our day-to-day work here at Isabel Hospice, so we’d like to say a huge thank you to Tees for dedicating their Friday to helping out. We are so grateful for your support.”
Corporate volunteering for Isabel Hospice is the perfect opportunity for businesses to get involved in their local community, allowing staff to make a positive and active contribution to a good cause that they care about. It is also a great team building exercise and a chance to meet company-wide corporate social responsibility (CSR) or environmental, social and governance (ESG) aims.
