Our Living Well with Isabel Hub is a centre for rehabilitation and wellbeing care. Focusing on our patients and their loved one’s specific needs and goals, to help them live with confidence and enhance their quality of life. Feedback from one of our service users said “Thank you for everything you do for others and what you have done for me. The group sessions that brought me new friends and the realisation that I am not alone on this journey. Exercise classes and reflexology were my favourite, that made me feel good about myself and feel normal.”

Wellbeing Course
Our Wellbeing course is available for newly diagnosed people or those with changing conditions. It takes place in both Welwyn Garden City and Bishops Stortford, focusing on delivering sessions that encourage you to live well, socially, spiritually and emotionally. The course includes discussion on symptom management, maintaining independence and advance care planning. It is a safe and welcoming space that prioritises your wellbeing. One attendee said “Thank you for the amazing work you do. I am very grateful for your care, kindness and understanding. Your support has been so helpful to me, others too. Knowing I have continued support means so much.”
FAB (Fatigue and Breathlessness) Course:
Currently running, this six-week course teaches patients and carers how to manage the common symptoms of fatigue and breathlessness associated with many long-term conditions. Topics include breathlessness, coping with fatigue, how to get better sleep, falls prevention and managing anxiety.
Carers Course:
Our first carers course of the year began in early March. Open to all adult carers, the course consists of four sessions, running weekly over one month. Focusing on moving and handling, personal care, nutrition and hydration and talking about the future, this course is a welcoming space that aims to increase your confidence in supporting the ones you love and care for now and in the future. Your Hospice, Your Voice
Meeting three times a year, the Your Hospice, Your Voice session gives anyone who has been cared for by Isabel Hospice or used our services an opportunity to provide vital feedback that will help shape our care. Our last session took place on the 18th March and was attended by 14 people. We provide a relaxed environment to discuss topics important to you and Isabel Hospice.

Ageing Well Course:
Our Aging Well Course consists of a range of educational sessions to help raise awareness of the risk factors contributing to increased frailty. Taking place both in Welwyn Garden City and Waltham Cross with new programmes beginning in April and May. One course attendee said : “Thank you all for delivering five interesting and informative weeks, and for the coffee and biscuits! I really enjoyed the sessions.”
