ABOUT THE COURSE
A one-day course to support professional development and requirements for non-medical prescriber updates. This course will be led by Jackie Watts, Education Specialist and supported by Lea van der Niet, Lead Nurse for Hospice at Home and Isabel Hospice Medical team.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- Neuropathic pain – what is it, why it happens and what can we do?
- Understanding end stage liver failure
- The use of Fentanyl and Alfentanil
- Clinically assisted hydration
- Upper GI symptoms – Gastroparesis, Dyspepsia, Hiccups
- Case Studies – Liver failure and bowel obstruction
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Non-medical prescribers or senior nurses with an interest in Medicines Management.
