ABOUT THE COURSE

A one-day course to help participants develop an understanding of how to manage common palliative care symptoms and palliative care emergencies.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of a good assessment
  • Explore management/treatment options for common symptoms including nausea and vomiting and agitation and delirium
  • Recognise what constitutes a palliative care emergency and how to manage them

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This course is aimed at Band 5/6 staff nurses.
