ABOUT THE COURSE
A one-day Level 1 course to address the needs of children experiencing loss and grief and how schools can recognise these needs and provide support. This course will be led by Isabel Hospice Children’s Counsellor & Coordinator.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
• Gain an understanding of how children may experience loss and grief
• Improve awareness of children’s support needs
• Examine the theory behind loss and grief
• Address how children may find meaning at this difficult time
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
All staff working within a school setting who would like a greater understanding of supporting children who experience loss.
