Mother’s Day can be a difficult and emotional time for many children and adults who aren’t able to celebrate with their Mum.
The world is full of adverts for flowers, chocolates and images of families laughing together.
At Isabel Hospice we know how hard the lead up can be, and the day itself when reminders of the well marketed celebration seem to be everywhere. In this film, 10-year-old Harry talks about his mum who died last year under our care, and reminds us how it is okay to be sad sometimes.
We would like to say thank you so much to Harry for sharing his thoughts with us this Mother’s Day and showing other children and adults that it is okay to be sad on days like this. We are so glad we are able to provide him support through such a difficult time.
